family have been majestic in business of Indian Musical Instruments for 100 years.
My Grandfather started the business of Musical Instruments.
I,
Vikram Jit Singh, along with my Father, am continuing the business for decades,
that was commenced by my Grandfather. Since then, we have introduced all kinds
of Indian Classical Instruments, Folk Instruments, Punjab's Bhangra Instruments,
South Indian & Western Instruments, Percussion Instruments, Wind Instruments,
Electronic Instruments, Asian & Western Instruments.
Besides our
expertise in Musical Instruments for decades we are marketing Sports Goods, Books,
CD's / DVD's,
Handicrafts Produts, Sikh Handicrafts, Shawls / Blankets / Carpets, Wallpaper
painting framed. These products are manufactured by expert workers. We are presently
running our Business in Amritsar and Jalandhar.
Due
to professional expertise in the quality & knowledge of Musical Instruments, my
Grandfather was awarded Excellently by Kings of different Indian Ruling States
from period between 1930 to 1947. He presented his manufactured Musical Instruments
to Kings of provinces in Punjab, Himachal Pardesh, Madhya Pradesh etc. in India.
He was awarded Certificates of Excellence by Kings. He was also offered the job
of Darbar Sangeetkar by rulers of Patiala in 1930's.
My
Grandfather got recorded 14 or 15 records of Classical Music in H.M.V. Gramophone
Records Company during 1930's.
We
have been visited by eminent Musicians of India & people interested in Music.
My
Grandfather was known as the inventor of new Musical Instruments. He used to be
interested in music of all Musicians since year 1900. He worshipped Music.
A
German Piano expert was at his service permanently for tuning of pianos in those
days.
In
1940, he invented Indian Model of Banjo, that came to be known as "Taishokotoe"
in India in those days. He developed Harmonium Keyboard on Taishokotoe, which
was used by Qawals. He also invented a new Instrument called "Sur Suhag" which
resembled Veena.
In
1961, he invented " Madhu Veena ". Which resembled Sitar. It sounds like Sitar
& Sarod both. It was presented to Pandit Ravi Shankar Ji in Bombay. He appreciated
the gesture & played this Instrument.
In
early days of 1918, my Grandfather opened his shop of Musical Instruments in Hoshiarpur
in Jalandhar district. After few years, he shifted to New Delhi & started Musical
Instruments Business in New Delhi in Paharganj area. He remained associated with
this Business for decades. He took initiative in estabilishing business in Jalandhar
in Punjab in 1947. In 1952, he shifted permanently to Jalandhar. By that time,
all worksmen have trained under him.
He
rose to eminence in World of Music by 1950's
Ustad
Hafaz Ali Khan's brother Channu Khan, a Renowned Sarod Player, used to stay with
him for months.
My
Grandfather was executive member of many prominent sammelans & associations of
Music in Punjab till 1970's.
His
daughter was a disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar Ji. She used to perform in various
Music functions, TV programmes, Radio stations in India & in Foreign Countries.
Our
family members also serve in teaching Vocal & Instrumental Music in various colleges
as Lecturers & Prinicipals. Many students of theirs have now been teaching Music
also.

We
use good quality seasoned wood & parts to manufacture Musical Instruments & other
products. The quality of Instruments and other products is varied as per customer's
specifications. The workers who manufacture these are professionals. Our professional
checkers check all the products personally and after their clearence they are
packed.
